Dr. K. Zaman BNSB Eye Hospital was devoted mainly towards creating services for the needy blind people, particularly in the rural, remote areas of the greater Mymensingh district, which consists of Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Kishorganj, Netrokona, and Sherpur, where eye care facilities were virtually non- existent. Please note that 14% people of the total population lives in this region. This region is the most poverty-stricken area of the country.
